What is the ImmunoLytics Mold Check-Up?
The Mold Check-Up is ImmunoLytics’ complete at-home mold testing kit. It includes 5 DIY Gravity Plate tests, 1 swab test, laboratory analysis by certified mycologists, and a free consultation with a certified Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP). It is designed to find hidden mold in the rooms where you spend the most time.
How does the Mold Check-Up find hidden mold?
Gravity Plates are placed open-side up in each room for one hour. Airborne mold spores settle onto the agar surface and grow into visible colonies during lab incubation. Because mold spores travel through the air before settling on surfaces, this method detects mold even when it is hidden inside walls, under floors, or in HVAC systems.
How many rooms does the Mold Check-Up test?
The standard Mold Check-Up tests up to 5 rooms using the included Gravity Plates. You can also add a swab test to sample a visible area of suspected mold growth. If you need to test more rooms, additional plates are available separately.
How long does it take to get results?
Results are typically delivered within 5 to 7 business days of the ImmunoLytics laboratory receiving your samples. You will receive a detailed health-scale report for each room tested, along with access to a free consultation with a certified IEP.
What should I do if hidden mold is found in my home?
If your results show elevated mold levels, your free IEP consultation will help you understand the severity and recommended next steps. Depending on the levels, this may include targeted cleaning, ventilation improvements, professional remediation, or a follow-up retest to confirm the issue has been resolved.
Is the Mold Check-Up the same as a professional air quality test?
The Mold Check-Up uses the same Gravity Plate methodology used by environmental professionals. All samples are analyzed by ImmunoLytics’ certified mycology lab.
