How do I know which tests to order?
Choose the sample type and method that match your question. Plates, swabs, bacteria screening, and Dust History describe different samples. These services do not provide ERMI or HERTSMI-2 scores. Follow the selected kit instructions and confirm any specific test requested by a clinician or other professional before ordering.
How much does a custom mold testing kit cost?
Mold plates, swabs, and bacteria screening purchased with analysis are $36 per sample. Dust History analysis is $90 per sample. Spare supplies without analysis are priced separately. Return labels, kit delivery, and applicable taxes are additional; review your selections and checkout total.
How long does lab analysis take?
Timing depends on the sample type, return delivery, and laboratory processing. Follow the collection and return instructions supplied with your kit and call 505-217-0339 for the current processing estimate. Do not hold bacteria samples for a mold-plate incubation period.
What happens after I receive my lab results?
Your consultation helps explain the submitted samples, report terminology, method limits, and appropriate environmental next steps. The results do not diagnose illness, measure mycotoxin concentrations, locate an exact hidden source, or certify building safety.
Is return shipping included in my custom kit?
No. Return labels are charged separately for eligible USA orders. Bacteria plates purchased with analysis add a $24.67 overnight return label. Where offered, USPS Ground Advantage is preselected at $11.40; choose None to remove it or UPS Ground at $13.12. Spare bacteria plates without analysis do not automatically require an overnight return label. Kit delivery to you is a separate checkout charge.
