The ImmunoLytics bacteria test kit measures the concentration of bacteria present in your indoor air. Gravity Plates are left open in the room for one hour to collect airborne bacteria, which then grow on the agar surface. The laboratory quantifies the bacteria present and provides a health-scale rating so you can understand whether bacteria levels in your home are within a normal range.

How do I collect a bacteria air sample using a Gravity Plate?

Place the open Gravity Plate on a flat surface in the room you want to test, open-side up. Leave it undisturbed for one hour, then close the lid securely. Label the plate with the room name and date, seal the outer packaging, and ship it back to the ImmunoLytics laboratory using the included prepaid envelope.

How many rooms should I test with the bacteria kit?

At minimum, test the rooms where you and your family spend the most time — typically bedrooms, living areas, and any rooms with known moisture concerns. Testing multiple rooms helps you compare bacteria levels across your home and identify localized problem areas. Each plate tests one room or area.

Can I use the bacteria kit and the mold kit at the same time?

How long does it take to receive bacteria test results?

Standard results are typically delivered within 5 to 7 business days after the ImmunoLytics laboratory receives your samples. Results include a quantitative bacteria count and an ImmunoLytics health scale rating for each sample location.

What should I do after receiving elevated bacteria results?

If your bacteria results show elevated levels, review the bacteria levels quantified in your report.
